Malibu Park |
Malibu Park lies on bluffs just across Pacific
Coast Highway from Zuma Beach, ten miles north/west of the commercial
center of Malibu at Civic Center. The community is known
as a family neighborhood due to the three schools there and
its casual roots as an agricultural and ranching area. Due
to the slow developmental history of the area, the homes range
from giant mansions to suburban-style homes on one-acre lots,
and from glistening white beach houses overlooking Zuma Beach
to large agricultural lots over 100 acres. But generally,
Malibu Park retains a rural flavor with its tree-shrouded ranch-style
homes on big lots, its horse trails, and minimal central lighting
and sidewalks. A few specific areas like the gated Sea
Star Estates pursue more of the Malibu luxury-style communities.
